Stainless steel vs. aluminum alloy precision vibration plate

Vibrating disk feeding is the first process of many production automation equipment, and its function is to send out the messy parts in an orderly and directional arrangement. There are two types of vibrating plate, stainless steel and aluminum alloy. The advantages and disadvantages of the two are as follows:

1. Scope of application:
The stainless steel vibrating plate has a wide application range, and parts within the size range of 2-60mm may be sent out. Aluminum alloy vibration discs are usually only suitable for smaller size parts, generally below 20mm. The smaller the parts, the more advantageous the use of aluminum alloy discs.

2. Feeding stability:
Because the aluminum alloy vibrating plate is precisely machined by CNC, its feeding stability and reliability are far better than the stainless steel vibrating plate. As long as the shipment is in good condition, it can be maintained, and after-sales service such as maintenance and adjustment is rarely required.

3. Noise during operation:
The noise of the aluminum alloy plate is much lower than that of the stainless steel plate.

4. Wear resistance:
Because the surface of the aluminum alloy vibration plate is hardened, it is extremely wear-resistant, and the surface will not change after 10 years of use. However, the surface of stainless steel may wear out soon after use, resulting in unstable feeding.

5. Production cost:
The production cost of aluminum alloy vibrating plate is higher in single-piece production, and the difference between the two is not much when it is produced in small batches, and the cost of aluminum alloy vibrating plate is lower in mass production.

6. Delivery time:
Generally, the stainless steel vibrating plate can take three to five days from the order to the completion. The first development of aluminum alloy vibrating discs requires design, processing, surface treatment and other processes, which generally takes about 15 days. But as long as the first one is made, the subsequent production cycle of aluminum alloy will be shorter.
